When I started playing the piano at the age of nine I learned the fundamentals of the nature of sound, and I felt an increasing desire to understand and improve its quality. It was exactly this curiosity about tones, music and sound that led me to the decision to learn the trade of piano-making when I was 16 years old. This professional basis and the experience I have gained in three decades of work on thousands of instruments have allowed me to collaborate to this day with a number of superb musicians, such as Lang Lang, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Yefim Bronfmann, Friedrich Gulda, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Herbie Hancock and many others.<\/p>\n
Over the more than 30 years of my professional activity, I have always aimed at more than merely tuning and servicing pianos and grand pianos. The nature of the instrument and the possibilities hidden inside it and in the particular way it is crafted increasingly inspired me to add that certain something to the instruments. It has always been my ambition to promote and develop the most balanced and finest tone in an instrument. My motive was always to study the sound and energy of pianos or concert grands far beyond what is technically achievable.<\/p>\n
For many years I completed a variety of education courses and further trainings to meet my own standard of excellence for music. Today, I have perfected my work with instruments to such an extent that my effort of “energizing” and harmonizing the instruments produces an immediately perceivable, improved and sustained tone and a refined brightening of tone colour and harmonics. This makes it possible to delve much deeper into the sound.<\/p>\n
With all kinds of instruments (including wind and string instruments and others), the improved responsiveness I achieve by energization is remarkable. The sounds of the so refined instruments go straight to your heart and are able to move you much more deeply than they would otherwise.<\/p>\n

als ich mich nach deinem Stimen an meinen Fl\u00fcgel setzte, hatte ich ein wunderbares Erlebnis: es war, als ob zwischen meinen Fingern und dem Klang nichts dazwischen w\u00e4re, keine Tasten, keine H\u00e4mmer, ja nicht einmal Saiten, als k\u00f6nnte ich mit meinen Fingern direkt den Klang formen und gestalten und diese direkte Ber\u00fchrung des Klanges war ein ganz einmaliges Erlebnis und eine unglaubliche, sinnliche Freude.<\/p>\n
Und dann kam noch eine \u00dcberraschung dazu: bei einem St\u00fcck mit lang ausdauernden Melodie- und Basst\u00f6nen \u00fcber bzw. unter einem Gew\u00fchl von Harmoniet\u00f6nen in der Mitte bin ich gewohnt, dass die Melodie- bzw. Basst\u00f6ne physisch verklingen und ich sie nur noch in der Vorstellung weiter zum n\u00e4chstfolgenden Ton tragen kann, und pl\u00f6tzlich h\u00f6rte ich die T\u00f6ne oben hell leuchtend und unten warm tragend bis zum n\u00e4chsten Ton hin\u00fcberklingen. Ich war so \u00fcberrascht, diese T\u00f6ne scheinbar endlos klingen zu h\u00f6ren, dass es mir im ersten Moment wie ein Wunder vorkam – aber dann wurde mir klar: das ist die Auswirkung deines Stimmens und der Klangveredlung!<\/p>\n
Also, ich hab voller Klanggl\u00fcck vorgestern ge\u00fcbt und geprobt, und so sehr ich mich auf meine Ferienreise jetzt freue, so freue ich mich auch, zu meinem Fl\u00fcgel zur\u00fcckzukommen.<\/p>\n

Einen Fl\u00fcgel auf die individuellen Bed\u00fcrfnisse des Pianisten anzupassen und vorzubereiten, ist genauso wichtig, wie das st\u00e4ndige und nicht endende Streben nach Klangsch\u00f6nheit und Klangcharakter (wie er es nennt: \u201eDer sch\u00f6nste Klang, der ein Instrument hervorbringen kann\u201c). Einen Stutzfl\u00fcgel l\u00e4sst sich nicht in einen Konzert- Steinway verwandeln, jedoch l\u00e4sst sich ein mehr als befriedigendes Resultat erzeugen, wenn man des Instruments volle Kapazit\u00e4t aussch\u00f6pft. Genau diese Art von Klangveredelung, im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes, durfte ich an meinem eigenen Fl\u00fcgel erleben.<\/p>\n
In einer halben Stunde hatte Ingmar es geschafft, dieses schwierige Instrument, welches mich seit dem Kauf nie wirklich gl\u00fccklich machte, in ein wirklich gutes Klavier zu verwandeln. Die T\u00f6ne klingen weicher und voller, viel weniger \u201escheppernd\u201c. Der Klang entfaltet sich freier und l\u00e4nger. Das Instrument wirkte erfrischt und reagierte deutlich besser und direkter auf meine Spielweise.
